Created by Principal Conductor, Barnaby Smith and Composer in Residence, Thomas Hewitt Jones, the British Film Orchestra (BFO) is a market leading and innovative ensemble specialising in the production of film scores and studio recording. Under the umbrella of the musical charity, Voces Cantabiles Music, the BFO strives to provide world renowned performances by drawing out the drama in music.

The BFO is the contemporary music orchestra of the charitable music foundation Voces Cantabiles Music (VCM). The charity works with over 250,000 children a year, inspiring them to become involved with music. The charity believes passionately that music should be accessible and enjoyed by all. The BFO collaborates with the renowned a cappella ensemble, VOCES8,  and rising star composer Thomas Hewitt Jones. Most recent projects include the recording and mixing of the 2012 Olympic Mascots sound track at Angel Studios and Abbey Road. The Artists have also been recording a CD of Christmas music by Hewitt Jones. Watch this space for more information!
